FC Barcelona to Host Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Bilbao team in domestic competition 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held an open training session on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side in December in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
